Breaking Dawn Is Breaking Records
The latest installment of the Twilight movie series is breaking box office records. Currently the film has surpassed the 500 million dollar mark after only 12 days. This is of course a worldwide number. Breaking Dawn is the fourth installment of the popular Twilight series, which are based on the novels by Stephanie Meyer. Just under half of the amount, $223 million, came from a strong Thanksgiving weekend in the United States.
Summit entertainment reported that they are very pleased with the continued success of the film Breaking Dawn part one chronicles the interaction of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen as the couple enters their honeymoon. During the film their wedding and honeymoon are impacted by a pregnancy that threatens the life of Bella.
Clearly the Twilight Saga is showing no sign of slowing down. Although there have been other characters and films played by the Twilight stars, we can expect continued Twilight movies and success in the near future.
The second part of the saga is expected for release in 2012. Unfortunately, this is set to conclude the Twilight saga, but we have our fingers crossed that there will be more films on the way. We certainly hope that Edward and Bella are around for a long time to come.
